General description
The Smac-N7 peptide (Cat. No. 567370) is modified to be cell permeant by linking the lysine carboxyl terminal to the arginine of Antennapedia homeodomain 16-mer peptide via a proline linker.
The Smac-N7 peptide (Cat. No. 567370) where the lysine carboxy terminal is linked to the arginine of Antennapedia homeodomain 16-mer peptide (underlined) via a proline linker to make it cell-permeable. Smac-N7 peptide contains the N-terminal seven residues of Smac and promotes the activation of procaspase-3 (~10 µM). Also, promotes the catalytic activity of caspase-9 in the presence of XIAP.
